A Note From the heart of our founder:
Sweet friends, let me get real for a minute.
Maybe I'm not supposed to share my weakness with you like this, but in light of my inspiration for this fall collection, Desert Hope, I have to be raw.
My goal was to launch Desert Hope at noon today. Live videos, playlist sharing, blog posts + a sale have been in the works for weeks.
But I'm tired. I slept till noon today.
I'm 23 weeks pregnant, battling health issues, mama to a wild and sweet 19-month-old boy, a new homeowner, and oh yeah, I still have a husband, extended family, and church community to love on.
I don't say this to complain - I'm so grateful for my sweet life and loved ones - or even to glorify my stress. I say it to 'boast in my weakness,' as Paul does in 2 Corinthians.
Because God. Gives. More. Grace.
"When I am weak, then I am strong." As much as we'd like, this doesn't always apply to a change in physical strength or circumstances. But it ALWAYS transforms our souls. Though my body's feeling the weakest it's felt in a while, with mood swings and cravings, false contractions and insomnia; His strength is made whole in me through my weakness.
And this is what New Eve's Desert Hope collection is all about.
It's about clinging to Christ when we feel dry. It's about making a fuss over what God has already done, erecting Ebenezer monuments and singing loud, then running hard with Jesus in view. It's about trusting the Holy Spirit in our hearts as a pillar of fire at night and cloud in the day - a guiding light to our feet and protecting roof over our heads.
Desert Hope is about fighting for joy in every circumstance, and resting in the victory Jesus has already won.
It's about His strength in our weakness.
I think, Lord willing, I'll be able to launch tonight. I'll keep ya updated. But more than the success of my work, I care that your heart is filled with the grace of God.
So take my story, take my weakness, take God's strength, and run hard after Him today! Whether you're in desert season or one of rich refreshment, He is so good. And He is so near.
